I'm a person on the internet.
I am not a fan of introductions, but I guess a general overview can't be that hard. I'm a CS student mostly focusing on AI/data science/medical imaging technologies, might venture into neuroscience. In my free time I enjoy drawing, learning languages, bouldering, taking walks, staring at the top right corner in my room and occassionally baking cakes. i love plants. I'm also something of a hack writer who likes ranting about a lot of obtuse things. Recently I also dabble in fiction. According to the very small test pool who is unfortunate enough to read it, it is more enjoyable than my tirades on this site. I'm still too scared to publish it.
The purpose of the site is best described as "screaming into the void", most of it is more or less categorised thoughts and works. I don't really expect anyone to actually visit or promote me, I just want my ideas to have a home.
It's also a way for me to "connect" to people I know without actually contacting them, because it's terrifying. I'm slowly parasocialising my personal relationships, which is honestly quite sad.
I made the site from scratch, because it's fun, and I despise social media (how surprising). Neocities was sufficiently low-tech for a .txt file enthusiast like me, plus it's free. Visually it's probably boring for the fellow users accustomed to flashy retro Geocities homages, but at the moment I can't be bothered with web design.
Website may be subject to major overhauls. I reserve my rights to change the content, structure and opinions expressed therein, although I aim to be transparent regarding any major changes. If I link to another site, it does not mean that I endorse all their viewpoints. (I'm yet to link to any other site than a single Wikipedia article.) I take no liability for potential brain damage caused by the content of the site.
Dianthus is the Latin name of carnations.
My family used to grow them when I was a kid, I have some fond associations with them. It was common for a large batch of flowers to have one or two differently coloured ones mixed in. I liked looking for these odd ones, they were like video game Easter eggs, but in real life.
I know most people probably buy them for funerals, though.
